We are seeking a Machining Department Supervisor with strengths in team building, machine technologies and general functions of manufacturing.
The ideal candidate would also have programming & setup skills.
Fairlane Products is on a very solid growth trajectory and now is the time to be on the ground floor to experience this exciting journey.
Primary equipment includes production bar lathes and chucking lathes with Fanuc controls, Brother vertical tapping centers and other vertical mills.
We've added several new pieces of equipment over the last 2 years.
This position is responsible for ensuring the productivity and organization of a 30 plus machine CNC department and will play a key role with integrating new equipment as the organization continues to make investments.
Essential duties and responsibilities; Communicate organizational needs, oversee employees' performance, provide guidance, support, identify development needs, and manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and the organization so that each is successful.
Support and endorse company policies.
Operate machines to diagnose malfunctions or test repaired equipment.
Highly interested in candidates with the following skills:
Practical experience of G&M code programming.
Strong knowledge of tooling and speeds & feeds.
Manufacturing processes and related equipment.
Disciplined in organization and time management Ideally have experience of both turning and milling on manual machines and demonstrate hands on capability.
Strong supervisory, people management, motivational and training skills Ability to provide solutions to decrease cycle times and overcome day to day machining issues.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change Ability to understand interpret engineering drawings Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment Commitment, dedication and willingness to succeed and progress is a must Company provided medical through Blue Cross, Dental, Life, Paid Vacation, 401K with company match, Bonus Program.
In addtion to these benefits, Fairlane offers a very consistent work schedule of 50-55 hrs/wk.
