This includes direct management of production employees engaged in production and assembly.
The position is also responsible for the planning of production, while approaching activities with a continuous improvement mindset to maximize throughput while minimizing costs and maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
The production supervisor's core responsibility is managing production processes and staff Plan and schedule personnel Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met.
Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is meeting departmental targets.
Manages and reports on operational metrics including quality, time, production planning, labor allocation, and resource management.
Ensure daily team management:
assure appropriate headcount, ensure the respect of standardized work methods, assure presence on the floor to answer questions or address problems.
Relentlessly champion quality and safety, employee development, and an unwavering customer focus.
Lead with a continuous improvement mindset to improve timeliness of the production schedule, workflow efficiency, just-in-time WIP inventory levels, product quality, and employee effectiveness.

Bachelor's degree, with a specialization in Production and/or:
1-3 years of production experience Excellent oral communication skills, strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.

Protective equipment is available and will be required to be worn as the situation dictates.
While performing the duties of this position, employee will be required to stand, sit and walk repeatedly throughout most of the workday.
Frequent use of a computer may be required to generate reports, monitor production, and verify production information.
While performing the duties of this position, the use of a computer is required for communications and writing report/correspondence.
When in plant, the incumbent is subject to the outside environment with possible exposure to temperatures (heat, cold, humidity, etc) and precipitation.
Normal lifting of up to 50 pounds is possible.
Mobility is necessary in order to perform assigned functions.
Noise level is low to moderate as the work area is a production environment.
Position may at times require working over the normal number of hours needed to complete all position-related tasks or assignments.
